Brother to Russian Camelot Sells for 600,000 Guineas

Tara Madgwick - Thursday October 10

One of the stars of the 2020 Melbourne Spring Carnival was talented stallion Russian Camelot (IRE), who won the Group I MRC Underwood Stakes before placing in both the Group I MRC Caulfield Stakes and Cox Plate with his full brother a highlight horse at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1 overnight selling for 600,000 guineas.

Camelot colt from Lady Babooshka sold for 600,000 guineas.

Consigned by Camas Park Stud and purchased by MV Magnier and White Birch Farm, the son of Camelot from Lady Babooshka made a lot more than his older brother, who was plucked from the same sale in 2018 for 120,000 guineas by Jeremy Brummitt.

Russian Camelot stands at Widden stud Victoria and has been very well received in his first three seasons at stud with his oldest progeny now two year-olds.
