Chain of Lightning Retired to Stud

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday October 9

Yulong purchased Group I ATC TJ Smith Stakes winner Chain of Lightning at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale this year for $2.5million and after two below par runs this spring, the $2.7million earner will now be retired to stud.

Chain of Lightning will be a lovely addition to the star studded Yulong broodmare band.

A homebred for Stuart Ramsey’s Turangga Farm, Chain of Lighting was trained by Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman winning eight of 25 starts.

By ill-fated Northern Meteor son Fighting Sun from the family of Group I winners Racing to Win and Everest hero Classique Legend, Chain of Lighting has a pedigree that would make her an attractive match for pretty much all of the Yulong sires.
