Dream Smart Wins $100,000 Inglis Bonus

Tara Madgwick - Friday August 30

A $60,000 Inglis Classic purchase by well proven veteran sire Smart Missile, three year-old filly Dream Smart was the latest horse to secure a $100,000 Inglis bonus for winning a maiden race when she saluted at Scone on Friday.

Dream Smart connections enjoy their win!

Trained in Queensland by Liam Birchley, Dream Smart has been working up to a win with a last start second at the Sunshine Coast in an Inglis bonus maiden race preceded by fourth placings at Eagle Farm and Doomben.

Ridden by Jean Van Overmeire, she relished a step out to 1300m and was forging clear at the finish to win by nearly two lengths.

Dream Smart was a $60,000 Inglis Classic purchase.

Dream Smart looks to have more wins in store and was a savvy purchase for her trainer from the draft of Corumbene Stud. She is a half-sister to stakes-winner Alart and is the sixth winner from six to race from good producer Al Sahra, a daughter of influential sire Desert Sun (GB).

A proven sire of stakes-winners headed by Group I winner Maid in Heaven, Smart Missile stands at Twin Hills Stud at the value fee of $13,200.
