First Foal for Best of Bordeaux

Tara Madgwick - Monday August 12

Runner-up in the Golden Slipper and a two time Group II winner at two and three, Best of Bordeaux was the highest rated 2YO Colt of 2021/2022 and has his first foals arriving this spring with Embrook Stables delighted with their colt born last week.

Former top showjumper Brooke Langbecker is enjoying the switch to thoroughbreds, pictured with Bella Nipottina.

Kerry and Letetia Langbecker along with their daughters Brooke and Emma have developed Embrook Stables as a premium spelling and pre-training facility at Beaudesert in Queensland which has played host to some of the biggest stars from the Brisbane Winter Carnival including Bella Nipotina, Warmonger and I Wish I Win as well as Chain of Lightning and Semana.

They also breed thoroughbreds and Brooke is super happy with her Best of Bordeaux colt from Holdin My Own, a six time winning Spirit of Boom mare that is a full sister to stakes-winner Chinny Boom.
