Zoustar could only manage second to Yarraman Park’s super sire I Am Invincible last season on the Australian General Sires List, but Widden Stud’s flagship sire had all the momentum during the last quarter and has hit the ground running in the first 11 days of the new season.

Zoustar has sired two Group winners already in Right to Party and Schwarz, while his 12 winners in total is sticking to the hectic pace he set last season when he equalled I Am Invincible’s record for 208 individual winners.

Arrowfield Stud’s Snitzel has also made a quick start with 14 winners in 11 days, which is better than any other sire and this 22 year-old will no dount cover another exceptional book at Arrowfield this spring.

All the usual suspects are and a surprise packet in Proisir’s full brother Divine Prophet, who is now based at Highview Stud in New Zealand at a fee of $8,800 after an initial start in the Hunter Valley for Aquis. He posted a stakes-winner last Saturday with classy mare See You in Heaven winning the Group III Behemoth Stakes.
