First Foal for Artorius

Tara Madgwick - Thursday August 8

A Group I winner at two that trained on to win again at G1 level as an older sprinter, Artorius was conceived at Newgate Farm and subsequently earned a place on their star studded roster with his first foals being born this spring.

Artorius filly from Do Not Disturb.

Artorius covered 146 mares last spring and among the first in line was Sir Owen Glenn’s well related Fastnet Rock mare Do Not Disturb, who is the dam of this lovely filly.

A half-sister to dual Group I winning juvenile King’s Legacy, Do Not Disturb has had two previous foals by Zoustar and Home Affairs so is being given every chance to succeeed.

Artorius had come out of quarantine last year before the stallion parades having competed at Royal Ascot where he finished fourth in the Group I Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes, so visitors to Newgate this spring can expect to see a very different horse this year.
