Maluka Stallion Parade - August 16

Media Release - Wednesday July 24

Maluka Thoroughbreds are delighted to welcome visitors to the farm on Friday August 16th for two parades featuring our exciting new stallion General Beau.

A brilliantly fast son of Brazen Beau, General Beau won the Group III MRC Blue Diamond Prelude at two and trained on for multiple stakes wins and Group placings including a third in the Group I MVRC William Reid Stakes to September Run with total prizemoney topping $1million.

“An impressive horse with a magnificent head, he is so strong through the shoulder and has a massive hindquarter. You can see why he was such an elite, early 2 year old,” said Luke Anderson of Maluka Thoroughbreds.

He is the third son of I Am Invincible’s Group I winning son Brazen Beau to go to stud and the first two are Tassort and North Pacific, who both stand at Newgate Farm in the Hunter Valley with the former siring Group I winner Manaal in his first crop of two year-olds that have run this season.

General Beau was bred and raced by Contract Racing in partnership and they will be continuing their support in his stud career.

“When the stallion has the backing of highly successful and regular producers of elite racehorses like Contract Racing, Hesket Bloodstock and Maluka Thoroughbreds you soon realise The General will have every opportunity to succeed,”said Anderson.

“A syndicate was formed which bought 10 mares to be mated exclusively with General Beau. The 55 mares provided by the syndicate in total to him, shows the belief we have and our commitment in getting this stallion off the ground.”

General Beau is priced to please at a fee of $8,800.

“General Beau represents great value and competed against the best having defeated other young stallions like Anamoe, Hitotsu, Extreme Warrior and Generation,” Anderson added.

“His sireline, being a son of Brazen Beau, has got off to a magnificent start with the deeds of Tassort, so in essence he has the key attributes breeders are looking for.

“The market wants early elite speed, the market wants precocious, strong types and the market wants value. General Beau deliveries all that for a modest fee of $8,800.”
