Juvenile Trial Watch – Warwick Farm

Tara Madgwick - Monday July 15

Trial action was at Warwick Farm on Monday morning with nine heats won by juveniles that included the first foal of triple Group I winning $3million earner Alizee.

The first foal of Alizee will have big shoes to filly!

Godolphin bred and raced Alizee, who was a real star for them winning 10 races, three of them Group I and when it came time for the half-sister to Astern and Tassort to go to stud they sent her to an outside stallion in I Am Invincible with promising filly Visual the result of that mating. Trained by James Cummings she had a very quiet trial first time out on July 1 and was asked to do more today and found the line nicely to win by more than a length for Zac Lloyd.

To give you an idea of the regard in which Alizee is held by Godolphin consider that she was sent to Europe last year to be covered by their champion sire Dubawi and is now back in Australia. Interestingly she had a travel mate for the expedition that is also now back here and in foal to Dubawi and that is Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Exhilarates.

The Matthew Smith trained Yes Yes Yes colt Silencio Porfavor led all the way to win his heat by a couple of lengths at his second outing and did everything right.

Silencio Porfavor was a $!20,000 Magic Millions purchase.

A $120,000 Magic Millions purchase from Vinery Stud for his trainer, Silencio Porfavor is a half-brother to two winners from a winning sister to stakes-winner Assail with the family producing Australian Horse of the Year Typhoon Tracy and seven time Group I winner Alligator Blood.

Blue Point (IRE) is quietly building a tally of Australian winners after a slow start and his progress in the Northern Hemisphere this year where he has three year-olds is such that it will be no surprise to anyone if he kicks a goal here in the spring. The Greg Hickman trained gelding Infinity Talents was third in his first trial last month and then improved on that to power home from last to win his heat by a head under a hold running through the line.

Infinity Talents was purchased for $200,000 at Inglis Ready 2 Race after making $80,000 at Inglis Premier..

A $200,000 Inglis Ready 2 Race purchase for Magus Equine from Hannover Lodge, Infinity Talents is the first foal of an unraced half-sister by Shooting to Win to Group I BRC Queensland Derby winner Sonntag from the family of Group I winning sprinter Flavour.

Additional winners were: Ladie’s Secret (Pierata), Bengal (Zoustar), Mount Everest (Exceed and Excel), Ride the River (Headwater) and Robot Lucky Star (Hellbent).
