Mares in foal Proisir, Too Darn Hot, Anamoe Highlight Strong Inglis July (Early) Sale

Media Release - Friday July 5

A mare with one of the hottest current pedigrees in the Australian Stud Book – in foal to sire sensation Proisir – headlines a quality catalogue for the Inglis Digital July (Early) Online Sale.

Fast Summer Rock (Fastnet Rock) is a winning half-sister to recent G1 Stradbroke Hcp winner Stefi Magnetica and full sister to Group III winner Hellfest being a daughter of Group I Stradbroke Hcp winner Mid Summer Music.

Fast Summer Rock is in foal to Proisir.

She is being offered in foal to hugely popular stallion Proisir, the sire of recent G1 stars like Legarto, Prowess, Levante etc while Fastnet Rock is broodmare sire of 51 Stakes winners and eight G1 winners since the start of 2023 alone.

Fast Summer Rock is one of several well bred mares in the sale carrying exciting pregnancies.

Vain Queen (Artie Schiller) is a fast G3-winning and G1 placed sprinter, offered in foal to leading first season sire sensation Too Darn Hot, the highest earning first season sire in the past 10 years, higher than the likes of Zoustar, Extreme Choice and Justify.

Harmony Rose is in foal to Anamoe.

Harmony Rose is a Stakes winner and dual G1 placed mare offered in foal to nine-time G1-winning champion Anamoe while Godolphin has a draft of seven offerings including five race fillies and two broodmares, in foal to exciting young stallions Astern and Daumier.

Exciting Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained filly Summer Loving (Exceed And Excel) is another star attraction in the catalogue.

A $425,000 yearling, Summer Loving is a fast, dual Stakes placed 3YO filly, a last-start winner who earlier in her career finished third to Skirt The Law and Platinum Jubilee in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic on the Gold Coast and was unlucky not to win the $1m Golden Gift at Rosehill on debut.

“Make no mistake, Summer Loving was one of the most naturally talented 2YOs in our stable last season,'' Bott said.

"She should have won the Golden Gift on debut but inexperience got the better of her and she finished full of running in the Magic Millions, which she would have gone very close to winning too had she had better luck through the race.

"We had the highest aspirations for her as a 3YO. We just never got to see the best of her, but she had phenomenal ability.”

In total the July (Early) catalogue of 332 lots includes 149 racehorses (81 race fillies), 126 broodmares, 37 racehorse shares, 10 yearlings, 9 weanlings and 1 unraced stock.
