Night of Thunder Blueblood Filly a Twin Hills Great Southern Highlight

Twin Hills Stud is based at Cootamundra, so it’s an easy transit down the Hume Highway for the Inglis Great Southern Sale and Olly and Amber Tait are prepared to be busy with over 30 weanlings and several broodmares to present.

The weanlings are a diverse selection by a wide range of sires including first season young guns Home Affairs and Stay Inside, plus a filly by world renowned sire Night of Thunder, who has already sired seven stakes-winners in the Northern Hemisphere this year including exciting Group II Dante Stakes winner Economics and a new season Group winning juvenile filly Fairy Godmother.

Lot 41 Colt So You Think x Berdini’s Girl, by Odyssey Moon

First foal of Group II placed Berdini’s Girl, whose dam is a half-sister to Group II winner Happy Galaxy with fourth dam Group I winner Porto Roca, the dam of Group I Dubai World Cup winner Monterosso and grand-dam of Group I winner Silent Sedition.

Lot 109 Filly Peltzer x Duet, by Danehill Dancer (IRE)

From the second crop of So You Think’s speedy Group II winner Peltzer. Dam has done an outstanding job producing three foals to race all winners and traces in tail female line to Group II winner Number, a three-quarter sister to champion sire Nureyev and half-sister to the dam of champion sire Sadler’s Wells.

Lot 126 Filly Stay Inside x Exclusive Lass, by Nicconi

From the first crop of Golden Slipper winner Stay Inside, whose first weanlings sold for up to $400,000 at Magic Millions. Half-sister to Group II placed Boyfriend and metro winner Cape Breton from stakes-winner Exclusive Lass, a grand-daughter of Group II winner Arletty from the family of Champion NZ 3YO Xtravagant.

Lot 189 Colt Nicconi x Jester Jewel, by Choisir

Half-brother to this season’s juvenile stakes-winner Pure Aqua and is from a placed sister to Group III winner Rockshaft from the family of Group I winner Danglissa.This colt traces in tail female line to blue hen Dark Jewel, the dam of Golden Slipper winner Baguette.

Lot 287 Filly Night of Thunder (IRE) x Parlance (IRE), by Invincible Spirit

The only entry in the sale by Dubawi’s outstanding G1 producing sire son Night of Thunder, who stands at a fee of €100,000. Fourth foal of a winning full sister to stakes-winner Repartee and is also a three-quarter sister-in-blood to Champion 3YO Miler and leading sire Kingman with third dam triple Group I winner Zenda.

Lot 367 Filly Home Affairs x Starla, by Snitzel

From the first crop of dual Group I winning sprinter Home Affairs, whose first weanlings sold for up to $430,000 at Magic Millions. First foal of prolific Sydney metro winner Starla, who won over $460,000 and is from the family of Champion NZ 3YO Filly Princess Coup and Group winners Argentia and Sovereign Nation.
