Windsor Park Set Fees - Paddington Popular

Media Release - Thursday May 23

Siyouni’s European superstar PADDINGTON, who shuttle’s to Windsor Park Stud, Cambridge from Coolmore, Ireland for his first Southern Hemisphere season in 2024, has proved an instant hit with breeders.

The brilliant miler and four-times Gr.1 winner who will stand for $35,000+gst, was quickly oversubscribed with Australasian support following the recent announcement he was to shuttle to Windsor Park for stud duties.

Paddington

A Gr.1 Classic and Royal Ascot winning miler, PADDINGTON joins another very popular stallion PROFONDO on Windsor Park’s roster.

A Gr.1 winning son of Deep Impact, PROFONDO is out of the precocious, 2YO Group winner Honesty Prevails, a daughter of legendary sire Redoute’s Choice.

A $1.9 million sale-topping Magic Millions yearling, the handsome PROFONDO was fully booked in his first season at stud in 2023 and is again oversubscribed at an unchanged fee of $17,500+gst.

The same fee of $17,500+gst will also apply to Champion Miler CIRCUS MAXIMUS for his fourth season at Windsor Park.

A dual Royal Ascot Gr.1 winner of the sire-making St James’s Palace Stakes and Queen Anne Stakes CIRCUS MAXIMUS also won the Gr.1 Prix De Moulin at Longchamp in Paris. These performances together with his outstanding pedigree have made him an extremely popular choice with breeders with the result that his first crop yearlings sold to AU$260,000 and they will hit the racetracks later this year as 2YO’s.

Successful stallions TURN ME LOOSE, VANBRUGH and SHAMEXPRESS round out Windsor Park’s 2024 stallion lineup.

TURN ME LOOSE is the sire of Australian stakes winners (She’s) Licketysplit, Prix De Turn and Ancient Girl while his 2023 3YO Group winners include Wessex and Loosespender. First crop stakes winner Turn The Ace continued on his winning way recently while this seasons Group placed racemare It’s Business Time, 2YO stakes performer Ziggy Stardust and Adelaide galloper Dual Fuel are further up-and-coming racehorses by Iffraaj’s champion son.

With his yearlings selling to $230,000 at Karaka this year, TURN ME LOOSE will be available to breeders in 2024 for a fee of $12,000+gst.

With limited representation to date Encosta De Lago’s Gr.1 winning son VANBRUGH has fashioned an impressive stakes winner to runner strike rate of 9% including dual Gr.1 winner Mustang Valley and outstanding 3YO Wild Night.

VANBRUGH’s yearlings have sold to $130,000 at Karaka and he will stand in 2024 for a fee of $8,000+gst the same fee afforded fellow successful sire SHAMEXPRESS.

A stallion who continually produces classy racehorses, the past season has proved no exception for SHAMEXPRESS. He has any amount of exciting young gallopers making their way through the ranks and none more so than Hong Kong star Ka Ying Rising.

Trained by David Hayes, Ka Ying Rising won very impressively at Sha Tin last week to provide him with his fourth win from six starts. Hayes is now plotting a path towards the Gr.1 Hong International Sprint next December.

Windsor Park is also proud to partner with Mapperley Stud as co-owner in Galileo’s Champion European son ARMORY, a leading 2YO and Champion 3YO and 4YO who travelled to Melbourne for his only Australian start, a runnerup finish in the Gr.1 Cox Plate.
