Riverdene Stud Fees Confirmed

Established sires DISSIDENT and SIZZLING comprise the Riverdene Stud stallion roster for another covering season with the Riverina-based outfit confirming that the Group 1 winning duo will again stand at an advertised service fee of $5,500 (inc. GST) on live foal payment terms.

Just a few days after DISSIDENT was represented by a notable winner on the Sha Tin program in Hong Kong as well as a stakes-placed racemare on the major black-type racecard at Scone, stud manager Amanda Elliott stated that the stud had little reason to review the fee of either stallion as they already represented great value for money.

“Last weekend was a prime example,” pointed out Elliott. “A day after Shadows of Love ran third in the $250,000, Group 3, Dark Jewel Classic at Scone, Voyage Samurai won his third race from just five starts in Hong Kong. There’re not too many stallions in Dissident’s price-bracket that can claim that.

“Sizzling, too, keeps ticking over with notable performers here, there and just about everywhere. Look at what Big Shots has done in the west, winning the $250,000 Magic Millions WA 2YO Classic and placing in the Group Three Karrakatta Plate. There’re winners by him every week — including much more locally at Wagga, Albury and Kembla just this month alone.”

Since moving to Riverdene Stud in more recent seasons, DISSIDENT and SIZZLING have both developed a strong following amongst local broodmare owners. Needless to say, Elliott believes it is paramount for that to continue.
