A $1.7million Inglis Easter purchase for Emirates Park, Snitzel filly Estijaab won the 2018 Golden Slipper for Emirates Park before embarking on a stud career in the Northern Hemisphere and her first born Frankel filly Ejaabiyah gained Black Type on Saturday in the UK when finishing a good second in the Listed Newbury Fillies Trial Stakes (1m2f)
A brilliant six length winner on debut at her only start last year at Kempton, the Roger Varian trained filly went out favourite for her first run of the year in this Black Type contest and finished a solid second to the Godolphin runner Diamond Rain, a blueblood Shamardal filly from Group I Epsom Oaks and German Oaks winner Dancing Rain.
Both the winner Diamond Rain and runner-up Ejaabiyah will be headed to better races as both hold entries for upcoming Group I events in the UK and Ireland.
Estijaab is now back in Australia and has fillies to follow Ejaabiyah by Night of Thunder and Gun Runner.
She was covered last spring by Tassort, who is jointly owned by Emirates Park and Newgate Farm.
