G1 Winner Affaire a Suivre Added to MM National Supplementary

Media Release - Thursday May 16

The supplementary catalogue for the 2024 Magic Millions National Weanling and Broodmare Sales has been finalised with a further nine stakes performers among the latest confirmed entries.

Joining the likes of Imperatriz, Kristilli, Aitch Two Oh, Lavish Girl and Malaboom in the supplementary for the National Broodmare Sale is a tremendous line up of prospects headlined by Group One winner Affaire a Suivre.

G1 Affaire a Suivre is for sale.

A star for the First Light Racing team, Affaire a Suivre made it three consecutive wins when she captured last year's Group One Australasian Oaks at Morphettville under John Allen for the powerful Maher and Eustace stable.

At her previous start the beautifully related daughter of Astern taught the boys a lesson when she cruised home in the Listed Port Adelaide Guineas.

The three time winner, from just 11 starts, is a half sister to the stakes winner Laure Me In and is from a Highest Honor sister to Group One winning sire Medaaly and half sister to Charnwood Forest.

Saturday's brilliant Group Three Cummings Stakes winner En Francais is Gold Coast bound along with fellow stakes winners Dolphin Skin and Miss Ella and this season's Gimcrack Stakes placegetter (at only start) Repose.

Pure Paradise, a stakes placed juvenile, won the final race at Morphettville on Goodwood Day on Saturday and is another supplementary lot along with stakes performers Authentic Jewel, Call Di and Excel d'Or.

The broodmare section of the sale welcomes a wonderful selection of lots covered by sires including Frankel, Written Tycoon, Zoustar, Home Affairs, Wootton Bassett, Toronado, Capitalist and Justify.

The dams of stakes winners Legacies (carrying a full relation by Justify) and My Bella Mae (covered by Wootton Bassett) join Group Three winner Delectation Girl (Zoustar) and Group placed juvenile Baaqyah in the supplementary.

Meanwhile, the National Weanling Sale has been boosted by six lots with youngsters by sires including Jonker, Satono Aladdin, Tiger of Malay and Zousain joining a catalogue packed full of quality.

"We can't wait to welcome vendors, owners, prospective buyers and thoroughbred lovers to the Gold Coast for the National Sale," Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said. "The line up across the seven selling days is outstanding - from weanlings to race fillies and broodmares to yearlings eligible to be paid up to the world's richest sales based race series."

"The original catalogue was already world class and now the supplementary catalogue has taken it to another level. To have almost 200 stakes winning or placed lots in the National Broodmare Sale is phenomenal."

To view the PDF supplementary catalogue click here or view the lots via the online catalogues or the Equineline Catalog App. The supplementary catalogue for the 2024 National Yearling Sale will be released in the coming days.
