Invincible Spy Wins Wagga Guineas

Tara Madgwick - Friday May 3

First Light Racing and a big syndicate of owners had a bit to cheer about on Friday when progressive I Am Invincible colt Invincible Spy won the $80,000 Wagga Guineas (1600m).

Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Invincible Spy was well rated in front by Rachel King and was strong to the line to take the feature by half a length.

Invincible Spy was a $650,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for First Light Racing / Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott / Kestrel Bloodstock and has the overall record of three wins from five starts with prizemoney topping $100,000.

Invincible Spy was a $650,000 Inglis Easter purchase from Yarraman Park.

He is a full brother to Group II winner Strasbourg being the third winner from three foals to race from Group II placed Danish Spy and all of her winners are by I Am Invincible with the other being Kobenhavn, who will be offered at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale by Yarraman Park as Lot 476.
