Yarraman Park Announce 2024 Fees

Breednet - Tuesday April 30

Yarraman Park’s champion sire I Am Invincible is on track for a third consecutive Champion Australian Sire Title and is poised to become the first Australian stallion in history to sire the winners of over $30million in a season.

“He’s had an exceptional season and is only $1million short of breaking the all time record for seasonal earnings in this country, which is a phenomenal record,” said Arthur Mitchell.

I Am Invincible

“He has nearly 10% SW to runner and this season they include Move to Strike, a Group I winning 2YO colt in New Zealand and that wonderful mare Imperatriz, who has won 10 Group I races and had more G1 wins in the world than any other horse in this racing season.

“She is about to embark on her career as a broodmare and in saying that I Am Invincible mares are already making their mark and I think he will ultimately become a very dominant broodmare sire.”

In the sale ring, I Am Invincible has averaged over $600,000 at both Inglis Easter and Magic Millions with 10 yearlings this year selling for $1million or more and his filly from Group I winner Booker set a new sales benchmark for her sire when selling for $3million.

“The filly from Booker is the second highest priced yearling filly ever sold in Australia behind only the $10million Winx filly and 10% of yearlings by I Am Invincible make $1million or more and that is a phenomenal achievement and there is more to come,” Mitchell concluded.

I Am Invincible will be priced at $275,000 inc. GST.

I Am Invincible’s Group I winning son Hellbent continues to produce a quality stream of winners headed by dual Group I winning mare Magic Time and Group winners Benedetta and Hell Hath No Fury, not to mention brilliant Inglis Millennium 2YO winner Fully Lit.

His fee will remain at $38,500 inc GST.

Hellbent

“He’s had an incredible year and we are so happy with the way Hellbent is progressing for a horse at a lower fee. He is now clearly the leading third crop sire and is $2million in front of his nearest rival,” said Harry Mitchell.

“It’s been really exciting for us and we see such a bright future for this horse going forward. Interestingly, he is also running third on the 4YO Sires List behind only Vinnie and Zoustar, which tells you how durable and sound his stock are.

“He’s leaving horses that train on which is so important in this day and age.”

Brave Smash (Jpn) was a new addition for Yarraman last spring and he too remains at the same fee of $33,000 inc GST.

Having sired 22 Australian winners this season that include Group winners Kimochi and Brave Mead, Brave Smash is well on his way to building on the positive start he made last year. Brave Smash has also sired two smart winners in Hong Kong from just three runners.

Brave Smash

“We couldn’t be happier to see how his horses have trained on from two to three and Kimochi is undoubtedly a high class filly with three G1 placings to go with her G2 Light Fingers win and $1million in prizemoney,” Harry Mitchell said.

“She beat Learning to Fly when she won the Light Fingers and the honesty and consistency of a filly like her is a great ad for the stallion.

“He’s got the Japanese pedigree so there are no limitations and we’ve sent a lot of I Am Invincible mares to him as Kimochi is also bred on the same cross.”

Apart from her first two race starts, Kimochi has raced exclusively in Black Type races and all bar one of them have been either Group 1 or 2 with her efforts putting her among the highest rated fillies this season, while Brave Mead has also raced almost exclusively in Black Type company winning the Group III MRC Manfred Stakes and Listed ATC Fireball Stakes.

Ill-fated Brave Halo was another high class prospect winning his first three starts in WA at two before venturing to Melbourne to finish a close fourth in the Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes, so there is no doubt Brave Smash can get a serious horse capable of matching strides with the best.
