It’s been a busy and rewarding yearling sale season for Blue Gum Farm and it’s not quite over with a select draft of seven to be offered on Sunday April 21 at the Inglis Gold Yearling Sale with the consignment featuring the only two yearlings in the sale by exciting young sire Tassort.

Tassort is riding high on the Australian First Season Sires List.

Tassort is on top of the Australian First Season Sires List by earnings with five winners from 14 runners and his star performer is Group I ATC Sires Produce Stakes winner Manaal, who started her season winning the Group III ATC Gimcrack Stakes last spring and has danced every dance since.

The Michael Freedman trained filly will look to stretch her talent out to 1600m on Saturday when she contests the $1million Group I ATC Champagne Stakes and a victory could put her right in the picture to be crowned Champion 2YO.

The two Tassort youngsters in the Blue Gum draft are both colts offered on behalf of Braebrook Thoroughbreds and both are from the family of their champion filly Streama, a four time Group I winner of $2.6million.

Lot 26 is a half-brother to a winner from Mean Louise, a three-quarter sister-in-blood by Stratum to Streama.

Lot 66 is the third foal of Viascon, a metro winning Denman daughter of metro winner Tessamo, a half-sister to Streama.
