$1.8million I Am Invincible Filly Stars for Yarraman Park

Tara Madgwick - Sunday April 7

Yarraman Park have had a busy day offering nearly all of their Inglis Easter draft for this year on Sunday and starring late in the day was the I Am Invincible filly from Notting Hill that sparked an intense bidding war before finally selling for $1.8 million.

$1.8million I Am Invincible filly from Notting Hill.

The star filly was secured by Nick Wakim of Hilldene Farm in Victoria and is the third foal of blue blood Pierro mare Notting Hill, who comes from the famed Shantha’s Choice family via the Monsoon Wedding branch of the family.

A three time winner, Notting Hill is from the first crop of Pierro and made $1.4million when she was offered for sale at Magic Millions as a yearling back in 2016, so it’s no surprise to see her produce something seriously special.

Notting Hill has had a few ownership changes in her career and was sent to North America briefly at the start of her stud career producing a US winner by champion sire War Front as her first foal. She was returned to Australia in 2020 after selling for $US700,000 at the 2019 Keeneland November Sale and is now based at Yarraman Park for Armitage Australia.

“She was a sensational filly from the day she was born and she showed that in the sale ring today,” Matt Scown of Yarraman Park told Jemma Cuttting  of Inglis.

Hilldene Farm have already had some success with this family having purchased the stakes-winner Meuse as a yearling before selling her for $1.2million as a broodmare prospect, so will be hoping for another good result from this investment.

Notting Hill has a filly to follow by Golden Slipper winner Stay Inside.
