New Beginning for Godfather - Aquired by Syndicate Newcomer

Media Release - Wednesday March 20

Stables and racetracks were abuzz last week with the news that I Am Invincible's stakes-winning son Godfather, had been on-sold through Inglis Digital for a relative song after initially being acquired at the 2022 Magic Millions Yearling Sale for an incredible $1.1m.

Godfather will look to rediscover his 'edge' with new trainer Matt Dunn .

The buyer was none other than syndicate newcomer Edge Thoroughbreds, which is set to open its books in the coming weeks for prospective owners looking for, ‘a new breed of syndication’.

“Godfather is an exceptional horse with wonderful pedigree,” says Edge co-founder Brendan Nelson.

“We saw great things from him early on in his career, and with a new environment, trainer and ownership group, we are looking to bring out the very best in him again.”
