Introducing Back to Winning Form

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday March 13

Blinkers and gelding appear to have done the trick for talented Trapeze Artist three year-old Introducing, who fought like a tiger to score  a remarkable win ta Randwick on Wednesday.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Introducing was stakes-placed last spring and raced exclusively in Black Type company where he was competitive without winning.

Dropped back in grade this time in work, he was fit and ready to fire at his second run back from a spell and led all the way to win the Benchmark 78 event over 1100m against older horses.  He was headed with a furlong to run and momentarily looked beaten, but found plenty under pressure for Adam Hyeronimus to win by three quarters of a length.

“The blinkers were on today by design to have him up and running and he was strong to the line,” said Adam Hyeronimus.

“I loved the way he fought through at the furlong from then on he was never going to be beaten.”

Introducing was a $380,000 Inglis Easter purchase.

A $380,000 Inglis Easter purchase for the James Harron Bloodstock Colt Partnership from the Edinburgh Park draft, Introducing is a half-brother to $3.1million earning stakes-winner Eleven Eleven and stakes-placed War Memorial being the fourth winner from good producer Smokin’ Alice (USA), who sadly passed away in 2022.

Introducing looks et for a good campaign that may see him venture back to stakes company..
