Vinery Stud are heading to Inglis Premier with a draft of 14 and more than half of their yearlings are by the farm’s own stallions including exciting first season sire Ole Kirk, while the half-sister to Group I VRC Victoria Derby winner Johhny Get Angry is by the great Victorian favourite Toronado (IRE).

Bred and sold in Victoria, Champion 3YO Ole Kirk has 18 entries for Inglis Premier, a sale at which he sold as a yearling for $675,000 back in 2019, and Vinery Stud will present four of them including a colt from one of the most popular commercial families in the land.

Lot 177 is the second foal of Cocktail, an unraced half-sister to Group I ATC Flight Stakes winner Oohood and stakes-placed Breakfast in Bed, the dam of dual Group I winning juvenile King’s Legacy.

His second dam Bella Sunday is a half-sister by Sunday Silence to champion sire Not a Single Doubt tracing back to influential matriarch Easy Date, whose impressive stakes dynasty features Golden Slipper winner Forensics and leading sire Snippets, plus a slew of other Group and stakes-winners.

The first foal of the mare is two year-old filly Spritzy Lass, who has been placed at both of her starts to date at Canberra.

A filly that leans more to the classic end of the spectrum is Lot 371, the half-sister by Toronado (IRE) to Victoria Derby hero Johnny Get Angry from Zabeel mare Luminova.

She’s bred by outstanding breeder Greg Perry, who has bred more Group I winners than most and they include Atlantic Jewel, Commanding Jewel, Artorius, Delectation, Marabi and a VRC Oaks winner in Aristia, so this filly is going to be a real watch horse for serious bloodstock investors.
