Miranda Park Primed for Premier

Based at Hesket in the Macedon Ranges, Miranda Park will present a quality draft of six at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale featuring one of only two fillies in the sale by reigning champion New Zealand sire Proisir.

A thriving breeding and agistment farm, Miranda Park has also achieved commercial success in the sale ring with quality Group winning mare Sirileo Miss plucked from their Inglis Premier draft in 2019.

Bred by Miranda Park’s Gary and Tom O’Meara and sold though their Premier draft for $60,000 to Wilde Racing, the daughter of Pride of Dubai proved a natural runner and has the impressive record of nine wins and six placings from 25 starts with prizemoney just shy of $1million and multiple Group wins on her resume.

Sure to command plenty of interest for Miranda Park is Lot 435, an athletic filly by Proisir, whose yearlings at Karaka last month sold for up to $1.6million.

Born in late October, she is the first foal of unraced Ocean Park mare Ocean Girl, a half-sister to stakes-placed Johnny Vinco from the family of Group winners Zanetta and Astimonti.

Miranda Park also have one of only two fillies in the sale by promising young sire Tassort, who has been quick to post four winners so far from his first crop including the Group III ATC Gimcrack Stakes winner Manaal.

Lot 49 is a half-sister to three winners from three foals to race from good producer Vienna Waltz, a juvenile metro winner by champion sire Snitzel from Group III winning filly Burning Sands.

This lovely filly has a two year-old full sister called Shamadan that is trained by Matthew Dunn and finished second in her first trial at the end of December before spelling.

Lot 497 Colt Rubick x Rosy Lady, by Sebring

Third foal of a Sebring daughter of Group III winner The Filly tracing back to a European Black Type family.

Lot 665 Filly Shalaa (IRE) x Highly Secret (NZ), by High Chaparral (IRE)

Half-sister to two metro winners from a metro winning half-sister to Group II winner Lady Kipling, the dam of Group II MVRC Moonee Valley Classic winner Fascino. The Shalaa x High Chaparral cross has produced seven winners from nine starters including a Northern Hemisphere bred SW Semble Juste and local Group II placed filly Do It La.

Lot 683 Colt Star Turn x La Chatte, by Medaglia D’Oro (USA)

A strong flashy chestnut like his sire, this colt has a good pedigree update as his three year-old half-sister Kitty Chat (Menari), is now a metro winner Canterbury. He is the fourth foal of a winning half-sister to stakes-winner West of Dalby and Group III placed Lanigera from stakes-winner Chinchilla.

From the first crop of Group I winning Savabeel son Cool Aza Beel, the Champion NZ 2YOColt of his generation. Second foal of winning half-sister to Group III winner Amaryllis and stakes-winner Papilio. Bred on wildly successful Savabeel x Pins nick that has produced 17 SW’s including five G1 winners.
