$600,000 for Half-Sister to In Her Time

Tara Madgwick - Monday February 12

When Flame of Hestia, the two year-old half-sister by Too Darn Hot (GB) to dual Group I winner In Her Time, bolted in at her first barrier trial for Kris Lees last month it put the spotlight on her yearling full sister who lit up the sale ring at Inglis Classic on Monday making for $600,000 for new vendor North.

$600,000 Too Darn Hot (GB) filly from Hell It's Hot.

The new thoroughbred business for Mick and Pauline Malone, North is situated on the old Kanangra stud farm in the Hunter Valley and it was Kanangra’s previous owner Fred Moses who bred the sale topping filly from his top producer Hell It’s Hot, who has left seven winners from 10 starters with $3.7million earner In Her Time the standout.

The star filly is the 15th living foal from Hell It’s Hot and was purchased by YLP Racing aka Yulong, who also purchased In Her Time for $2.2million at the 2021 Inglis Chairman’s Sale and Flame of Hestia last year at Magic Millions for $280,000.

Mick Malone was thrilled with the result.

Flame of Hestia was a real eye catcher in her first and only trial to date on January 31 at Wyong.

Hell It’s Hot produced a filly last spring by Astern at age 21 and appears to be back in foal to All Too Hard, what an amazing mum she’s been!

In Her Time has had three colts in a row for Yulong, the first by I Am Invincible, then two more by Written Tycoon and she is now in foal to Diatonic (Jpn).
