Golden Vale Goes Two for Two – Perth Magic Millions Next!

Tara Madgwick - Saturday February 3

The juvenile event at Ascot in Perth on Saturday was won by promising Churchill (IRE) filly Golden Vale, who made it two wins in as many starts when saluting in the famous navy blue Coolmore colours as a short priced favourite.

Trained by Simon Miller, Golden Vale won her previous start at Ascot back in October and coasted home to win the 1000m by more than a length.

The talented filly has some ambitious targets ahead with the Perth Magic Millions 2YO Classic her next assignment leading in towards the Group II WATC Karrakatta Plate in April.

Golden Vale was a $130,000 Perth Magic Millions purchase.

Golden Vale was bred in Victoria by Dorrington Farm, but offered at the Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale by Willow Dale Farm as agent where she was snapped up by Simon Miller/ Tom Magnier for $130,000.

Golden Vale runs for Coolmore and partners and is their first winner in Western Australia. She is the third winner for Magnesic, a winning Magnus three-quarter sister-in-blood to stakes-winner Malibu Style and daughter of stakes-winner Born Western.
