Easter has long been the most important yearling sale in the Southern Hemisphere, something that’s not lost on Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch.

“This sale also has an outstanding record of success, possessing the best strike rate of any sale in Australasia in terms of Stakes winners to runners over an extended period of time,’’ Hutch said.

“To put that into perspective, since 2018 buyers are 49% more likely to find a Group winner at Easter than they are at the next best yearling sale in Australia.

“The catalogue this year really is extraordinary.

“I think everybody respects the Winx/Pierro filly will garner most of the media’s attention – and understandably so – but from a strictly bloodstock perspective, she is surrounded by some of best credentialled yearlings that have ever been offered for sale in Australia.

“The interest in the sale is incredible and while the big-priced lots attract the headlines, I think the savvy investors know there is real value to be found at the sale, highlighted by the fact that there were over 120 yearlings that could have been bought at the sale for $200,000 or less last year.

“We’re as always grateful to the breeders and vendors who have entrusted us with their best stock to sell at Easter and we can’t wait for April to come around so we can showcase the quality to a global audience.’’

All yearlings purchased at the Easter Sale have the opportunity to nominate for the lucrative Inglis Race Series which includes the $2m Inglis Millennium, the $1m Inglis Sprint, the $1m Inglis Pink Bonus - the most lucrative incentive scheme for female racehorse ownership in the world - and the $5m Inglis Xtra Bonus, which sees 50 $100,000 Bonus payments attached to allocated Maidens.

Hard copies of the Easter catalogue will be available within a fortnight.
