Rich Hill Graduates Shaping Well

Media Release - Thursday January 18

The current crop of three-year olds purchased from Rich Hill Stud’s class of 2022 at Karaka are shaping up to be another group of supremely talented racehorses.

A quartet from that New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale consignment by exciting resident sire Satono Aladdin are already stakes-winning three-year-olds.

Satono Aladdin

They are Lupo Solitario, who claimed the G3 Bonecrusher Stakes and is the third favourite for the upcoming $1.5 million TAB Karaka Million 3YO.

Raf Attack won the G3 Gloaming Stakes in Sydney while Lantern Way triumphed in the G2 Hawke’s Bay Guineas and last season’s champion two-year-old Tokyo Tycoon added the Listed Sir Colin Meads – El Roca Trophy to his record.

Ace High filly My Lips Are Sealed is another stakes performer from the 2022 draft following her close second in the G3 Eulogy Stakes.

Meanwhile, promising Shocking three-year old The Weapon will now also head to the Karaka Million after his fast finishing last-start fifth at Ellerslie, running the fastest last 600 meters of the day when he powered home in 32.69s.

Rich Hill will offer siblings to a number of these horses at the up-coming Karaka sales, including Lot 408 who is a brother to Raf Attack, Lot 396 is a half-sister to Lupo Solitario by Proisir, Lot 263 is a half-brother by Vadamos to Lantern Way and Lot 606 is a brother to The Weapon.

With the recent Group 1 victory by Ace High’s outstanding first-crop daughter Molly Bloom, the continued success of resident Champion sire Proisir and the winning run by progeny of Satono Aladdin, Shocking and Vadamos, Rich Hill’s 2024 Karaka draft is a must see for buyers looking to purchase an elite racehorse.
