Written Tycoon's Tycoon Deshauna Wins on Debut - Half-Brother at the Magic Millions

Mark Smith - Friday January 5

The winner of all four of her barrier trials, the 3-year-old Written Tycoon filly Tycoon Deshauna looked like a seasoned pro when making her debut in the Kia Ora Prague Hcp (1100m) at Canterbury on Friday.

Ridden by Adam Hyeronimus for Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Tycoon Deshauna settled on the outside of the leader Te Pani and the pair fought the race out.

Tycoon Deshauna defeated the Better Than Ready filly Te Pani with the Capitalist filly Speed Personified back in third.

“We had her primed first-up,” stable rep Neil Paine said.

Tycoon Deshauna a $320,000 Inglis Easter yearling

“She hasn’t been easy to train and Gai and Adrian took her to Wyong to give her a solid trial and we were keen on her tonight.

“We were a bit worried by the sticky barrier, but she pinged the lids, and Adam got her across to be travelling second. She fought on so well, and she fought all the way to the line.

“It was a popular win for the stable.”
