The newly formed Alma Vale / Kitchwin Hills Partnership will be presenting yearlings for the first time at Magic Millions with Verna Metcalfe (Alma Vale) and new Kitchwin Hills Stud Manager Oscar Englebrecht looking forward to a rewarding few weeks at the Gold Coast.

The pair will be showing nine youngsters including several by first season sires Graff, Prince Fawaz and King’s Legacy.

“We’re all very excited about the opportunities going forward for Alma Vale and Kitchwin Hills and this sale marks a new beginning for the Kitchwin Hills brand that has been so successful in the past,” said Oscar Englebrecht.

First horse in the ring for the new partnership will be Lot 58, a stylish Brazen Beau filly from Pride Rock, a metro winning Fastnet Rock mare that is a full sister to Group I winning sprinter Lone Rock and from the family of Fastnet Rock’s Group I VRC Oaks winner Personal.

Next up is Lot 269, the first colt to be offered at this sale by Kitchwin Hills based Graff, a super-fast Group II winning son of Star Witness, who has already tasted success as a sire of sires through Star Turn.

Her two year-old Metallic Cat (f Pierata) made $500,000 at this sale last year and is trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott although is yet to trial.

An athletic filly from the first crop of King’s Legacy from unraced Pierro mare Count Your Money will have her admirers as Lot 1110 and has had a good pedigree update as her half-brother Oakfield Badger is now a two time winner from just four starts.

King's Legacy filly from Count Your Money.

Count Your Money is a half-sister to Group I winner Good Project, who is by champion sire Not a Single Doubt, a close relation to this filly’s sire King’s Legacy.
