Third Winner for Sun City

Tara Madgwick - Sunday December 10

A Group III winning juvenile by Zoustar, Telemon Thoroughbreds young sire Sun City always had the profile to get early winners and has delivered the goods for the ‘Mishani army’ producing his third winner for trainer Les Ross and owner/breeder Mike Crooks at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday where Mishani Fearless scored at his second start.

Third on debut at the Sunshine Coast last month, Mishani Fearless handled the step to 1200m to win by the best part of a length.

Mishani Fearless is a second generation Mishani bred winner and is the fifth winner from five foals to race from Mishani Lotus, an unraced half-sister by Octagonal to Group III winner Mishani Honcho.

Sun City covered 155 mares in his first three seasons and was priced this spring at $4,400.

Sun City has sired three winners from four runners.

He has now had three winners from four runners which puts him on a par with fellow first season sires Alabama Express and Tassort, who also have three winners.
