With his exciting daughter, Jupiter Hills, set to debut in Saturday’s $500,000 Inglis Nursery at Randwick, Vinery Stud’s Exceedance went two for two in Australia when Simply Tina made a winning debut at Cairns.

John Manzelmann saddled all five runners in the 950m contest. Ridden by Jackson Murphy, Simply Tina led at every call to defeat the Power (GB) filly Rocket Power by half a length, with the Heroic Valour filly Mishani Sunset three-quarters of a length back in third.

A $32,500 purchase for Maguire Breeding & Racing from the Lyndhurst Stud Farm at the 2023 Gold Coast National Yearling Sale, Simply Tina is out of the winning More Than Rady (USA) mare Seismic Warning, a half-sister to Group 1 ATC Flight Stakes winner Cheeky Choice, and to the dam of Group 1 BTC Queensland Oaks winner Gypsy Goddess.

Group 1 VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Exceedance (Exceed and Excel) made the best [possible start to his stud career when his first runner Dublin Down, won the Group III VRC Maribyrnong Plate at Flemington.
