Juvenile Trial Watch - Rosehill - MM Quartet

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday December 5

There were four heats for juveniles run at Rosehill on Tuesday morning featuring two winners by I Am Invincible, one by Zoustar and a flying machine by Capitalist, all of them offered at Magic Millions.

Quickest heat of the juvenile heats was the Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou trained Capitalist colt Amazing Eagle, who was fast to begin and fast all the way clocking a slick 53.61 seconds for the 900m when coasting home to win by  seven lengths.

Amazing Eagle was a $400,000 Magic Millions purchase.

A $400,000 Magic Millions purchase from Highgrove Stud foe George Moore Bloodstock, Amazing Eagle is the third foal of Taliqua, a winning half-sister to Group II placed Cajou, the dam of Group III winner Allergic.

Quickest of the fillies was the Richard and Will Freedman trained Zoustar filly Zoubaby, who improved sharply off her first quiet trial last month, working forward to take the lead and then accelerating for home to win by more than three lengths held together in 54.26 seconds.

Zoubaby was a $300,000 Magic Millions purchase from Widden Stud for Avenue Bloodstock/Richard & Will Freedman and is the first foal of a winning half-sister by Magnus to dual Group I winning sprinter Viddora.

The John O’Shea trained I Am Invincible colt Tardelli was having his first outing and got a good education working forward to lead and hitting the line held together for a narrow win over Capitalist colt King of Roseau.

Tardelli was a $360,000 Magic Millions purchase.

A $360,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for Bruce Perry Bloodstock, Tardelli runs for a Kiwi partnership and is from Pierro Moss, an unraced Pierro daughter of stakes-winner Upon This Rock from the family of Group I winners Criterion and Comin’ Through as well as this season’s brilliant three year-old filly Charm Stone.

Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott produced the other winner for I Am invincible with Anode, who appreciated the longer 900m trip after winning his first trial last month at 740m. This time he found the front and was much too good winning by three and a half lengths.

Anode was passed in at Magic Millions.

Anode was passed in at Magic Millions and retained by Evergreen Rich and is a half-brother to Singapore Derby winner Han Xin from the family of champion sire Fastnet Rock.
