Zoustyle Does it Again!

Tara Madgwick - Saturday December 2

Eight year-old Zoustar gelding Zoustyle was back to his brilliant best winning the Group III BRC George Moore Stakes (1200m) at Doomben on Saturday having won the same race back in 2021.

The Tony Gollan trained speedster showed his usual dash to lead and had just enough left to hold off a determined bid from Rothfire to win by half a length for Ryan Maloney.

"The guys that own him were really disappointed when he drew wide but I said to them when he came over here and worked on Tuesday, 'this is really his favourite track’, he gets himself into such a good rhythm here and it's the only race all Summer that I had an opportunity to bring him back here to Doomben," Gollan said.

Bred and raced by Desharon Bloodstock and Stableboard Bloodstock, Zoustyle has the overall record of 10 wins and six placings from 27 starts with prizemoney just shy of $1million.

He is the best of three winners from Anabaa mare Fashion (GER) who was a stakes-placed winner in Germany.

A daughter of the stakes-winning Acatenango mare Felina, Fashion (Ger) is a half-sister to the Group III winner Felicity, the dam of the Champion Older Male Miler in Germany in 2013, Felician and stakes-winner Fly First.

Fashion has a yearling filly by Bivouac that will be offered at Magic Millions by Sledmere Stud as Lot 656.

Zoustyle is the sixth Australian stakes-winner this season for Zoustar,

Zoustyle is the sixth stakes-winner  this season for Widden Stud’s champion sire Zoustar.
