Capitalist Filly from a Big Family Impressive at Moonee Valley

Tara Madgwick - Saturday December 2

A homebred for Rob Love and his family’s Love Racing, Capitalist filly Milliondollarmumma made light work of her first metropolitan victory scoring easily at Moonee Valley on Friday night to bring a nice pedigree update for her Magic Millions bound half-sister.

Trained by Anthony and Sam Freedman and ridden by Damian Lane, Milliondollarmumma won her debut at Cranbourne in April before heading from a spell after finishing fifth at Morphettville.

Second up from a spell in the Benchmark 64 event over 1200m, Milliondollarmumma was too sharp for her rivals scoring by three quarters of a length.

“She began so well and we were able to track the Godolphin runner and it became a big advantage and on the corner I was going better than it and she did a really good job,” said Damian Lane.

Foaled and raised at Newgate for Love Racing, Milliondollarmumma is the best of two winners from unraced Redoute’s Choice mare Angel’s Choice, a full sister to dual Group I winner Melito, who is now at stud in Japan.

Newgate sold a full sister to Milliondollarmumma at Magic Millions this year for $420,000 to Domeland and will offer an I Am Invincible filly from Angel’s Choice in January at the Gold Coast as Lot 431. She is closely related to stakes-winner Madeira Sunrise, who is also by I Am Invincible from the same female family.

Angel’s Choice has foaled this spring producing a colt by Home Affairs.

This is a prolific sales family tracing back to blue hen Summoned that is packed with Black Type winners and features in no fewer than 10 sales yearlings for 2024 as found by Breednet’s new family search, click to see them.
