Well fancied despite the lack of match practice, Miss Passion got the job done with Billy Egan in the saddle scoring by more than a length in the 1100m maiden.

“She was struggling a little bit in herself at the finish and you could tell she’d had a fair time off racing,” said Billy Egan.

“She had a decent blow after and will take a lot of improvement from the race.”

Miss Passion was the last ever yearling by Redoute's Choice sold at Inglis Easter, pictured with the Fernrigg Farm team.

Bred and sold by Fernrigg Farm., Miss Passion was a $760,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Moody Racing / Tasman Bloodstock and is the second winner from Australian bred South African Group II winner Mella Maria, who produced a colt this spring for Fernrigg Farm by Bivouac.

Miss Passion is the 13th winner from 20 starters from the final crop of 23 foals by Redoute’s Choice that are highlighted by Group I winner Rediener and stakes-winner Soul Choice.
