Bookmakers are expecting class to prevail in Saturday's Group II Missile Stakes (1200m) at Randwick.

The first stakes race of the season in Sydney is set to feature nine runners – led by the resuming Le Romain.

A multiple Group I winner from the Kris Lees stable, Le Romain is yet to miss a place in four first-up runs is as short as $2.10 to make a winning start to his spring campaign. The current top price available based on Racenet's surveyed bookmakers is $2.25.

The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained mare Tycoon Tara is the second favourite at a best price of $5.

Durable sprinter Jungle Edge, prepared by Mick Bell at Cranbourne, is on the third line of betting at $6.50.
