Third Stakes Success for Let's Galahvant in Carbine Club

A $10,000 yearling that has won over $600,000, the 5-year-old Galah gelding Let's Galahvant earned a third stakes success when running down the favourite Magnificent Andy in Saturday's Carbine Club Of WA Stakes at Ascot.

Ridden by Chris Parnham for Ben and Daniel Pearce, Let's Galahvant defeated the Magnus gelding Magnificent Andy by a long-head with a length back to the fast-finishing Flying Artie gelding Vast Art in third.

The winner of the Listed NthmRC Northam Cup and Listed KalgBRC Hannan's Handicap, Let's Galahvant advanced his record to ten wins, four seconds and five thirds from 33 starts with earnings of $624,760.

"You wouldn't mind a few more like him. He is tough and improved as the preparation goes on," Ben Pearce said.

“He is a sound horse and enjoys being in work.

“He is pretty much no fuss, and we love him.”

Let's Galahvant is the best of four winners from six to race for the So Secret mare Secret Crush and all are by Galah. who covered Secret Crush in six of his seven seasons at stud.

Purchased by Greg Adamo for $4,500 at the 2021 Inglis March (Early) Online Sale. Secret Crush is a half-sister to multiple-listed winner Keyton Grace and dual-listed winner Shock Value.

Secret Crush has endured a torrid time with her foals of 2020 and 2021 dying and missing in 2022.

Let's Galahvant is the lone stakes winner for the Redoute’s Choice stallion Galah, who last stood in 2020 when he covered one mare.
