One to Watch – Canterbury

Tara Madgwick - Saturday November 25

Interesting winner at Canterbury last night with this three year-old Russian Revolution gelding charging home from last to first to win at his second start and our new family search on catalogues shows there are four entries for Magic Millions from his family.

Trained by Chris Waller, Tannenburg had a good education at the trials before making his  debut at Gosford to run third two weeks ago.

Given a quiet ride by Nash Rawiller in the 1250m maiden, Tanneburg hit the line hard to win by a head.

A $160,000 Magic Millions purchase, Tannenburg has four relations catalogued for MM 2024.

A $160,000 Magic Millions purchase for G & C Pastoral Co Pty Ltd  from the Cressfield draft, Tannenburg is the second winner from well bred Red Ransom (USA) mare Adelie, a full sister to Group II winner Portillo and half-sister to Group I winner Snowland.
