I Am Invincible 5YO Wins $3million Big Dance

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday November 7

The Black Type might have been at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day, but there was big cash on offer at Randwick with I Am Invincible gelding Attractable upsetting the short priced favourite Cepheus (GB) to win the $3million ATC Big Dance (1600m).

Trained by Sara Ryan for Domeland, Attractable made good progress through his grades during the winter and booked his ticket to the Big Dance winning the $150,000 Coffs Harbour Cup back in August.

Fourth to Cepheus in the $1.5million ATC Allan Brown Stakes when resuming from a spell, Attractable took benefit from the run and with a recent barrier trial under his belt was able to turn the tables on Cepheus and win by more than a length with Regan Bayliss in the saddle.

Attractable delivered the biggest win to date for young trainer Sara Ryan, who has only been training for a bit over a year.

“It was absolutely amazing. This horse he gives his whole heart and that’s why I love him,” said Sara Ryan.

“I rode this horse yesterday and he tried to kill me so I knew he was ready for today! He’s one of those horses that thinks he’s a comedian and had a good buck and a play coming off the track and that’s when I know he’s right.”

Attractable was a $290,000 Inglis Easter purchase from Mill Park.

A $290,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Mill Park draft for Domeland, Attractable has the overall record of eight wins from 23 starts with prizemoney topping $2million.

He is a half-brother to stakes-winner Agreeable from stakes-winning Husson (Arg) mare Affable, who comes from the family of dual Group I winner and sire Turffontein.

The success of Attractable will propel I Am Invincible to a comfortable lead on the Australian General Sires List by earnings.
