New Addition to Breednet Black Book – Tracking Families

Tara Madgwick - Friday November 3

As we head into Cup Week Breednet are pleased to announce a new feature to our popular Black Book allowing people to track families, nominating a mare to then catch all of her relatives so we’ve given it a test with Procure (dam of Hips Don’t Lie) and Tricia Ann (daughter of My Tricia).

In selecting Procure we end up tracking 148 of her relatives and they include Ozzmosis, who runs in the Group I VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington and a lightly raced Justify three year-old called Explicable, who runs at Pakenham.

A stakes-placed Zabeel mare from an iconic New Zealand family, Tricia Ann has 174 relatives to track and they include two runners in the Victoria Derby in Kosgei and Warialda Warrior, while Straight Arron will contest the Group III Sa Sa Ladies Purse at Sha Tin on Sunday.

The Twyla branch of the Dancing show family produced a new Group I winner last week in Tom Kitten, so we’ve added her in to follow 172 relatives and they include The Autumn Sun gelding Influential, who runs in the Group III VRC Carbine Club Stakes at Flemington.

This is a warts and all feature that finds all members of the family racing which can be very interesting.

If you don’t have a Breednet Black Book you are missing out!
