Joe Carbone - Tuesday October 31

In the wonderful word of sport and even more so racing, the element of momentum is quite simply the difference between winning and losing, it is a factor that can’t be understated and the Yulong brand has wind in its sails with some very important results where it matters most, on the track and in the breeding barn.

It’s no secret this powerhouse has spent millions right across the board filling the pockets of many mare owners, feed distributors, transport companies, contractors, so on and so forth.

The team has had some favourable results on the track of late having a particular affinity with the all-conquering Waterhouse-Bott masterclass.

The young stallions on the roster are joining in, not only having plenty of fun in the barn, but transferring that momentum onto the racetrack with the athletic Alabama Express off to a flyer and Grunt making plenty of noise with that momentum looking set to continue.

Grunt is a young Yulong sire on the up.

Fresh off the back of siring a new stakes winner Written Tycoon continues to see some marvellous results and with the king nearing readiness to hand over the baton to the younger brigade, the baby faced roster is set to inherit some of the best mares of Australasian racing in the seasons ahead. Opportunity aplenty.

Tagaloa and Lucky Vega both having covered yet another bumper crop of quality mares along with Japanese young gun Diatonic (Jpn) who is quite literally the ‘Dark Horse’ of the group. We finish with Pierata, arguably the most exciting stallion standing in Victoria, already the sire of the Matt Laurie trained Coleman, a stakes winner at his very first outing and potential Group I star of the future.

Pierata is the sire of exciting 2YO SW Coleman.

An exciting time for all those involved in the racing and breeding juggernaut. It is without a doubt that the birth of Yulong and its unparalleled investment has strengthened our industry so it’s humbling to see some terrific results.

Like anything, plans and ideas take time to come to fruition, but that turning point is now here. The pursuit of excellence is relentless.
