Cox Plate Field and Barrier Draw

Breednet - Tuesday October 24

The field and barrier draw is out for Saturday’s $5 Million Group One W.S Cox Plate in a race which sees Gold Trip backing up from his Caulfield Cup placing and three-year-old Militarize attempting to emulate So You Think.

Hong Kong champ Romantic Warrior remains favourite despite his first-up Australian defeat and will jump from gate seven, while second favourite and crowd favourite Alligator Blood drew gate five.

Militarize

Triple Group One winning colt Militarize has drawn gate three and will be attempting to emulate So You Think, who, like Militarize finished 5th in the Caulfield Guineas before his first Cox Plate triumph.

Militarize lost no admirers in his Caulfield Guineas effort a fortnight back after missing the start and coming from back and widest in a race dominated by the leaders and he is firm in the market at $7.50.
