Juvenile Trial Watch – Randwick

Tara Madgwick - Friday October 20

There was only one heat for juveniles at Randwick on Friday morning and the powerful Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stable produced the trifecta with Written Tycoon colt Catoggio taking the win in the Rosemont alliance colours.

Having his second trial, Catoggio stalked the leader Chateau Miraval and forged past the daughter of Zousain in the straight with Written By colt Manuscript finishing off well for second at his first trial beaten half a length.

A $460,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Baramul Stud draft for Rosemont Alliance/Suman Hedge Bloodstock, Catoggio is a half-brother to stakes-winner Palazzo Spirit and is from stakes-winning Conatus mare Palazzo Pubblica, a grand-daughter of Group II winner My Sienna.
