Debutant Stakes Sale Mail

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday October 18

The Listed MRC Debutant Stakes at Caulfield on Wednesday for two year-olds has a field of 10 with three first season sires represented and there is plenty of interest in a colt that was sold and scratched from the Magic Millions 2YO’s in Training Sale next week so the pressure will be on him to perform.

Trained by Leon and Troy Corstens, Capitalist colt Aardvark was bought by Baystone Farm from the Highgrove Stud draft at Magic Millions this year for $240,000, but his work leading into the 2YO’s in Training Sale has resulted in his private sale to a syndicate that includes James Harron Bloodstock in whose colours he will run.

Aardvark has gate five with Craig Williams to ride.

I Am Immortal, Pierata and Too Darn Hot  all have runners, while Shalaa (IRE), who has a great record in early juvenile races has three in the race including the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained filly Southern Charm, who is the only runner to have had an official trial and that was a win at Warwick Farm last month.
