Juvenile Trial Watch – Warwick Farm

Tara Madgwick - Monday October 9

Two heats for juveniles out at Warwick Farm on Monday morning and they were won by a speedy filly by first season sire Microphone and an I Am Invincible colt that made it two wins from two trial starts for the powerful Waterhouse Bott stable.

The Three Hundred won his first trial last month and looked very professional this time around. He mustered quickly from gate one to go through and lead for Adam Hyeronimus and when asked to get going and find another gear was a lot more comfortable and was able to skip clear and win by a couple of lengths.

The Three Hundred was a $400,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for Trilogy Racing Pty Ltd/Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing and is the third foal of stakes-winning Smart Missile mare Sassy ‘n’ Smart, a half-sister to Group III winner Mallory from an elite European family featuring Group I winners Nebraska Tornado and last year’s Irish Derby winner Westover.

The fillies heat featured just three runners with the Richard and Will Freedman trained Microphone filly Miss Judas settling a close third of the three in the run before angling into the clear to challenge. Given a send along by James McDonald she got down to business to win by three-quarters of a length.

Miss Judas was a $320,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Kia Ora Stud draft for her trainers and is a half-sister to two winners from Group II winning Testa Rossa mare Sistine Angel.
