Impressive Winners for Eureka Studs Encryption and Spirit Of Boom

Mark Smith - Wednesday October 4

A good day at Ipswich for Eureka Stud stallions Encryption and Spirit Of Boom, who captured two of the three 3-year-old races.

The Lee Freedman-trained Encoder (Encryption) started the ball rolling when he broke his maiden at start five over 1680m.

Later in the day, the Tony Gollan-trained filly Try Everything promised better things to come when coming with a barnstorming finish to open her winning account at the second time of asking.

A close-up fourth at Doomben at her debut on September 20, the daughter of Spirit Of Boom had punters sweating when conceding the frontrunner Missile One four lengths at the 250m. She knuckled down to her task under James Orman to overpower Missile One (Smart Missile) by a length, with O'Polly (Cable Bay) a long head back in third.

Gollan said he knows a bit about the family.

I trained her father (Spirit Of Boom), mother (Tiyatrolani) and grandmother (Tiyatro), so I know a lot about the family,” Gollan said.

They are not just speedy squibs; there is no doubt this filly will get 1400m.

“The race did not pan out as I expected. I thought there looked to be a soft tempo, but the leader was stoked up and got running, and Jimmy had to come back, so it was messy early, but that is why you have these good jockeys on. They make the right decisions, and he was in the right place with the speed of the race.

Try Everything a $320,000 Magic Millions yearling

A $320,000 purchase for Peachester Lodge from the Eureka Stud draft at the 2022 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Try Everything is the second winner from as many to race for the Listed BRC Mick Dittman Plate winner Tiyatrolani (Captain Sonador) from the family of outstanding racemare and broodmare Staging.

Without a live foal for two seasons, Tiyatrolani delivered a filly by  Bivouac on September 3.
