One to Watch – Sunshine Coast

Tara Madgwick - Sunday October 1

A $950,000 Magic Millions purchase by Triple Crown  winner Justify (USA) made a winning debut at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday to become third winner in Australia for his sire this weekend.

Trained by Stuart Kendrick, Javaja won his only previous trial last month and went to the post as a short priced favourite for the 1200m maiden and duly saluted as expected.

He found the line strongly when clear to win by half a length and will no doubt appreciate further.

Consigned by Coolmore and purchased by TFI / Kia-Ora Stud / D Farrington, Javaja runs for TFI and Kia Ora and is the first winner for Formality, a multiple Group I placed Group II winning daughter of Fastnet Rock.

The Justify x Fastnet Rock nick has been productive and is running hot with nine winners from 10 runners - Group II winner Learning to Fly the star!

Javaja was the third winner of the weekend for Coolmore based Justify, who also sired unbeaten three year-old Pleasure Cruise to win at Belmont and Spicy Legend was successful at the Gold Coast.
