Blue Point Hits 30 Winners

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday August 29

Darley shuttler Blue Point (IRE) has been a phenomenon in Europe this year with a tidal wave of two year-old winners and at Southwell overnight he clocked up his 30th  first crop winner from 75 runners when Boann saluted.

Trained by Ollie Sangster, the filly improved at her third start to score on the all weather track over 5f by more than two lengths.

Boann was bought by her trainer for 50,000 guineas from the Tattersalls October Book 1 Yearling Sale and is the first winner from Exceed and Excel mare Paradwys, a half-sister to stakes-winner Many Colours, the dam of dual Group I winner Mother Earth.

Blue Point is back at Darley Victoria and will cover a full book this spring at a fee of $44,000 with his first Australian runners to light up tracks here this season.
