With 40 plus new boys retiring this year there are double the number of freshman stallions in 2017 compared to last season.

CapitalistBred To Win returns to Sky Thoroughbred Central tonight and starts with a look at two stars of their generation.

Firstly Golden Slipper and Magic Millions 2yo Classic champion Capitalist at Newgate Farm along with another speedy son of Written Tycoon, Winning Rupert.

Caroline Searcy also visits Darley Stallions' Golden Rose winner Astern who puts on a great show in his paddock for the Bred To Win camera!

Also Sydney's leading trainer Chris Waller gives us his thoughts on buying yearlings and a full wrap of Australia's champion stallions from the season just completed.
