Top Ranked is by Dark Angel, the same sire as Darley’s promising young shuttle sire Harry Angel (IRE), who sired three stakes-winners in his first crop of Australian two year-olds last season - Tom Kitten (from a daughter of Street Cry), Arkansaw Kid (Exceed and Excel) and Stretan Angel (Bernardini).

18YO Dark Angel recently clocked up his 100th stakes-winner in the UK and stands at a fee of €60,000 at Yeomanstown Stud. He has a good record with mares carrying Danehill blood having sired 22 stakes-winners bred this way including Group I winners Angel Bleu and Persuasive, who is from a daughter of Choisir.

Top Ranked is priced at $7,700 and looks amazing value given his credentials.
