First foal for Splintex

A Group II winning sprinter of over $1.1million, Splintex was well received at Darling View Thoroughbreds in WA last spring covering 118 mares and the son of Snitzel is on his way with his first foal arriving at Mungrup Pty Ltd.

This lovely bay colt is the second foal of Shimmer Lake (NZ), a placed half-sister by Savabeel to stakes-winner Sureasyouwereborn.

“He’s got a great depth of girth, good bone and strength,” said Gray Williamson of Mungrup Pty Ltd.

Splintex has a big pedigree being a half-brother to stakes-winner Invictus Salute from the family of glamour producing Group II winner Hips Don’t Lie, the grand-dam of last seasonls star juvenile filly Learning to Fly and dam of exciting young Coolmore sire Acrobat, who also has his first foals being born this spring.
